Animation Basics

Animations are one of the core elements of Captivation. Animations are what makes a video go from boring to truly captivating!

Any item on the Captivation whiteboard can be animated, but the exact animation options available depend on the item.

Adding and Editing Animations​

There are three ways to add/edit animations:

  1. Select the item on the whiteboard you wish to animate. Select the Animation tab on the Sidebar. This opens the animation editor, where new animations can be added to this item, and existing animations can be edited/deleted.
  2. Select the item on the whiteboard you wish to animate. On the Floating Toolbar above the item, select the Animations setting. This will show all existing animations on this item, with additional options to delete any existing animations, as well as create a new one. This will open the current animation in the sidebar.
  3. Select an animation card on the Animation Timeline. This will automatically open the Animation tab.
